A man demonstrated an incredible level of free will by equipping a Jeep Renegade with the powerful 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine.
While the Renegade is not exactly synonymous with a performance SUV, content creator Mike Martin decided to take it to the next level by fitting it with the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine.
Capable of producing an impressive 500 hp, this engine is the same found in large vehicles such as the Dodge Challenger, Charger, and Ram 1500.
To accommodate this powerful engine, the owner swapped in the differential and six-piston Brembo brakes from a Hellcat, effectively converting the Renegade into a rear-wheel-drive vehicle.
In addition to the improvements under the hood, the small Jeep SUV also received some aesthetic modifications to give it a more aggressive look, including a widebody kit, new bumpers, and a racing-inspired custom interior.
The car also received a new set of wheels and tires: 275/40 R20s in the front and 305/35 R20s in the rear. Many of the exterior customizations were made using a 3D printer to create unique structural components and finishing details.
Martin did not reveal the total cost of the project, but judging by the modifications, it certainly wasn’t cheap. Still, he can take pride in one thing: having a Renegade in his garage like no other.
